Alinta is Bladnoch's peated whisky, the first smoky release in the distillery's two-hundred-year history, and it's part of the Twinned Cask collection: peated spirit matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, bottled at 46% ABV. The name means fire in an Australian Aboriginal language, a nod to the owner. The peat is soft rather than medicinal, sitting alongside brown sugar, dried fruit, and a gentle barbecue smokiness.
