The ranch rises to 2,000 feet on ancient lakeshore and volcanic soils and includes its own extinct cinder cone, Round Mountain, giving the estate cool nights, intense sunlight and thin, rocky ground that produces small, concentrated berries. Block 14 is the winery's single-block flagship Cabernet, selected from the High Serenity Vineyard and made under Jonathan Walters, vice president of vineyard and winemaking operations, with extended aging in French oak barrels and bottling at 14.8% ABV. Wine Enthusiast awarded the Block 14 94 points, describing mulberry, plum, cassis, dried herbs and toasty vanilla on the nose and blackberry, boysenberry, blood orange zest and bittersweet chocolate on the palate, framed by firm, mouthwatering tannins; the winemaker highlights baking spice and floral notes of rosewood and violet with significant aging potential. Decant it and serve with prime rib, lamb chops or a mushroom-crusted filet, or cellar it through 2034. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release. 750ml bottle.

Buy Brassfield Estate Winery Block 14 High Valley Cabernet Sauvignon online with fast shipping right to your door.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0057/8089/7892/files/brassfield-estate-winery-block-14-high-valley-cabernet-sauvignon_59794416-3bdd-40f3-ae3f-43633782f56a.jpg?v=1793252174
