The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery's selection of the best barrels from its finest hillside blocks, aged about 18 months in French and Hungarian oak with a higher share of new barrels than the estate bottling, and finished at roughly 15.0% ABV. Brassfield's winemaking team describes aromatic waves of anise, mocha and brambly summer blackberries with cedar and cinnamon, followed by dark cherry, juicy raspberry and blueberry, a firm, dense tannin structure and a long finish of toast, mocha and cedar that will soften beautifully over the next decade.
