chimney-rock-tomahawk-vineyard-stags-leap-district-cabernet-sauvignon
Chimney Rock Tomahawk Vineyard Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

Chimney Rock is a 100% estate-grown winery in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, founded in 1980 by Hack and Stella Wilson, whose South African years inspired the Cape Dutch-style winery that still anchors the property on the Silverado Trail. The Terlato family partnered in 2000 and has been sole owner since 2004, with winemaker Elizabeth Vianna guiding the cellar since 2005. Tomahawk Vineyard is one of the estate's single-vineyard crown jewels: a southwest-facing block on rocky, gravelly soils at the foot of the Stags Leap Palisades that produces concentrated, structured Cabernet with the district's trademark velvet. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured 18 months in French oak, about 60% new, and bottled at 14.5% ABV in 750ml, presented in a wooden box. The nose layers black cherry, graphite, cassis and dark cocoa; the full-bodied palate delivers blackberry, espresso and dried herbs, closing on long, polished tannins with vanilla, cedar and black licorice. Give it 45 to 60 minutes in a decanter now, or cellar it 15 to 20 years. Prime rib, lamb chops and aged cheddar are the classic matches. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.

Buy Chimney Rock Tomahawk Vineyard Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon online with fast shipping right to your door.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0057/8089/7892/files/chimney-rock-tomahawk-vineyard-stags-leap-district-cabernet-sauvignon_a58ef68a-e38c-4990-9cca-2b4482fbb3aa.jpg?v=1793252174
https://chipsliquor.com/products/chimney-rock-tomahawk-vineyard-stags-leap-district-cabernet-sauvignon
