The current release blends 75% Cabernet Sauvignon with 11% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec, aged 22 months in French oak, 60% new and 40% neutral. That regime gives a plush, expansive wine: blackberry compote and fresh black cherry on the nose with cardamom, dried lavender and a hint of forest floor, then a round, richly textured mid-palate, fine integrated tannins and a long, polished finish with quiet spice. It is built in the house style of its big sibling, opulent yet balanced, and will reward five to ten years in the cellar.
