The recipe uses fourteen botanicals sourced from six continents, including toasted mesquite bean, white sage, galangal, cardamom, anise, allspice, rose hips, orange peel, lemon peel, lemon verbena, orris root and angelica root alongside the juniper, run through a step maceration in which each botanical is steeped on its own schedule before they are distilled together slowly, then tasted for a month before release. Drinkhacker rated it A- and described gentle juniper, lemon peel and allspice on the nose, with anise, allspice and earthy angelica root on the palate and a lavender note carrying through the finish, calling it as good neat or over a cube as it is in a cocktail.
