The Pact is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's best blocks, aged in French oak and bottled around 14.8% ABV. The winemaker describes dark exotic spice, star anise, sweet tobacco, savory herb and olive over briar-kissed blueberry and black raspberry, with chalky, tight-knit tannins and iron-rich wet-slate minerality on a long finish. Critics agree: James Suckling awarded 97 points to the 2021 for graphite, blue fruit and slate, 96 to the 2019, and Wine Spectator gave the 2019 93 points.
