The house distills on the lees for aromatic weight, ages new spirit for an unusually long three years in medium-toasted Limousin oak, then moves it to older casks to mature without excess tannin. This VS is 100% Grande Champagne, a rarity at the entry level, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Tastings.com awarded it 87 points and a Silver Medal in July 2024, noting a light golden amber color, aromas of bananas Foster, red apple, dried mango, leather and honey, a round, lively palate of red apple, caramelized plantain, dark chocolate powder and sour grape candy, and a medium, tingling finish, recommending it for the Sidecar, Brandy Crusta and Champs-Élysées.
