Pinot Noir thrives in the Petaluma Gap, which is considered one of the most sought-after appellations for the variety. Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, this wine has a generous, gently mulled feel, with red and black cherry and warmed raspberry. Light savory and red tea notes run through the palate, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a singed sandalwood frame on the finish. It drinks well now and has the depth to age a few years. Pair it with roast duck, seared salmon, mushroom risotto, or herb-roasted pork. A plate of Gruyere and cured meats is another good match. Serve around 60 degrees. 750ml bottle.
