The fruit comes from North Coast vineyards grown in well-drained red volcanic soil, and the wine is bottled dry at 14.0% ABV with residual sugar under 2 g\/L. The winery describes bold aromas of ripened cranberry and red fruit, smooth, round tannins and a satin texture, with finishing notes of creamy oak, vanilla and baking spice from the new barrels. Herzog is the flagship winery of the Herzog family's Royal Wine Corp., the world's largest kosher producer, and this bottling is kosher for Passover and mevushal.
