katherine-goldschmidt-stonemason-hill-alexander-valley-cabernet-sauvignon
Katherine Goldschmidt Stonemason Hill Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Katherine Goldschmidt is the Alexander Valley Cabernet from Goldschmidt Vineyards, the Healdsburg family winery of New Zealand-born winemaker Nick Goldschmidt and his wife Yolyn, and it is named for their daughter. Nick's résumé runs through Simi, Allied Domecq and consulting projects on four continents, and this bottling is where his pursuit of value-priced, site-specific Cabernet lands. The fruit comes from Stonemason Hill, a hillside block on the benchlands of the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County whose rocky, well-drained soils and warm afternoons give ripe fruit with real structure. Aged in French oak with a modest share of new barrels, it bottles at around 14.5% ABV in a 750ml format. Wine Enthusiast awarded the 2023 vintage 92 points, describing aromas of raspberry coulis, black plum compote, fresh herbs and dark chocolate, with age-worthy tannins, balancing acidity and flavors of crushed Bing cherry, mint, cinnamon and purple flowers, calling it great value. Earlier vintages have earned similar praise, and it consistently punches above its price. Pour it with grilled lamb chops, a bacon cheeseburger or a wedge of aged Gouda. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.

Buy Katherine Goldschmidt Stonemason Hill Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon online with fast shipping right to your door.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0057/8089/7892/files/katherine-goldschmidt-stonemason-hill-alexander-valley-cabernet-sauvignon_611b9e22-6c4c-4d79-b41e-6804323487e2.jpg?v=1793371262
https://chipsliquor.com/products/katherine-goldschmidt-stonemason-hill-alexander-valley-cabernet-sauvignon
