Bottled at 13.5% alcohol, the wine opens with expressive aromas of flinty cherry, blueberry and Asian spice. The palate is medium to full in body and carries Bing cherry, plum and nutmeg, finishing smooth with lingering red fruit flavors. It has more weight and spice than many coastal Pinot Noirs while still keeping a fresh, balanced profile. Pair it with roast duck, grilled lamb chops or pork tenderloin, and it is just as good with mushroom dishes or a hearty salmon preparation.
