Gautier VSOP blends Ugni Blanc eaux-de-vie from four crus, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Bons Bois, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged six years in Limousin oak barrels, well beyond the four-year VSOP minimum. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle, it shows a brilliant amber color. Reviewer BevX awarded it 4.5 stars and described a nose of baked apple, pear and peach backed by caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and spicy oak, with a medium to full-bodied palate of toffee, brown baking spice, dark chocolate, ginger and orange peel.
