Hors d'Âge is the top of the regular Père Labat range: rhum agricole aged eight years in oak and bottled at 42% ABV. Eight tropical years is a long time for cane spirit, and the result is deep and polished, with the pepper and green cane of the young rhum folded into caramel, tobacco, dried fruit, and toasted wood, and a long, warm finish.
