The Reserve Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from seven Napa Valley vineyards, led by the Raymond estate sites in Rutherford and St. Helena, with parcels north toward Calistoga and just east of the Stags Leap District. The 2023 is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 7% Merlot, macerated an average of 39 days on the skins, aged 19 months in French oak with 28% new barrels from Ermitage and Seguin Moreau, and bottled unfiltered at 14.5% ABV. The winemaker's notes describe black cherry, cassis and violet aromas, then blackberry, dark chocolate, toasted cedar and fresh sage with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Recent vintages have scored 91 to 92 points from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Jeb Dunnuck, Vinous and James Suckling. Serve with roast lamb or a grilled porterhouse. 750ml bottle.
