Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, it opens with ripe cherry, vanilla and savory herbs. The palate is juicy and concentrated, with silky tannins, a hint of dusty cherry and a polished, long finish. Wine Spectator gave it 92 points, noting finely beaded acidity, red currant and damson plum flavors, and savory and rose hip notes on the finish.
