The current release blends 86% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot and 4% Malbec, aged in French oak and bottled at 14.5% ABV with 6.24 g\/L acidity and a 3.58 pH. The nose shows black cherry, dried plum and cassis, while the plush palate layers caramel and ginger baking spice over fine-grained tannins and a long, silky finish. James Suckling rated it 94 points, praising ripe aromas of blackcurrants, blackberry compote, cinnamon bark and cherry cola. Sebastiani suggests aged cheddar, grilled beef filet with potato gratin or Moroccan spiced lamb with this 750ml bottle, which will reward another decade in the cellar.
