Artfully Bourbon's review of 26C found cooked dark cherry, cherry pie filling and charred oak up front with grape, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla and cocoa underneath, a thick, syrupy palate of dark cherry, barrel char, clove, baking spice and black pepper that drifts into molasses, bitter chocolate, leather and tobacco, and a long finish of clove, pepper, toasted oak and tobacco, scoring it 8.5 out of 10 and calling the proof warming rather than overpowering.
