The 2023 is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot, harvested between October 2 and November 5 in a long, cool season, and aged 18 months in French oak, 40% new, before bottling at 14.2% ABV in 750ml. Senior winemaker Stephanie Pope describes aromas of anise, Santa Rosa plum, tobacco and a hint of chicory, with bright red fruit, tobacco and savory notes on the palate, a firm tannin structure and a finish that balances richness with fresh fruit.
