Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, it opens with youthful aromas of ripe Rainier cherry and raspberry, joined by smoked nuts, toasted brioche and a delicate layer of sweet vanilla from oak. On the palate, supple, round tannins and vibrant acidity balance the ripe fruit and carry through to a clean finish. The style is generous but fresh, with enough lift to work at the table. Pair it with roasted duck breast, grilled salmon or a wild mushroom flatbread. It also holds up well to herb-roasted chicken and soft cheeses.
