Wente makes it from 100% estate-grown, certified sustainable Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in stainless steel and aged 18 months in French oak, 40% new and 60% once-used, finishing at 14.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The nose shows black currant, cassis, French oak spice and a hint of the gravelly \"Livermore dust\" that marks the valley's wines, followed by ripe black cherry and plum on a palate with firm but refined tannins and a long finish.
