Irish coffee is a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish Whiskey, and sugar stirred and topped with cream and is prepared using one teaspoon of sugar poured over black coffee and stirred until it has dissolved then slowly pour thick cream over the cup to create a floating cream layer.  The coffee is then consumed through the cream.
