The 2025 Día de Muertos G4 is an Añejo de Madera — the wood-vat, fiber-fermented blanco taken all the way to añejo in the house's old whiskey barrels — presented in a hand-crafted coffin. G4 is named for four generations of Camarenas making tequila in Los Altos since 1937 — the family behind El Tesoro and Tapatío — and Felipe built El Pandillo, NOM 1579, in Jesús María in 2011 with his sons Luis Felipe and Alan to make additive-free tequila his way: estate agave slow-roasted 22 hours in stone ovens, crushed by the handmade Felipestein tahona, double-distilled in copper, and cut with rainwater and spring water. The 2025 Añejo de Madera starts as the de Madera Blanco — the only G4 made with well water, fermented in wood with the fibers — aged past a year in the house's old Dickel and Jack Daniel's barrels, and bottled at 40% ABV in a Día de Muertos coffin hand-made in San Juan de los Lagos; check your bottle for the 2025 specifics.
