Gran Coramino Añejo is Kevin Hart's second tequila — the aged one, made with Juan Domingo Beckmann, eleventh-generation head of the Cuervo family, at Casa Cuervo. Hart spent three years on the brand before its 2022 launch, and the Añejo followed as the answer to reviewers who wanted the Cristalino left in the barrel longer; it's made at La Rojeña, NOM 1122, home of 1800, Gran Centenario, and Maestro Dobel, from 100% blue Weber agave from the Beckmann estates, roasted in traditional brick ovens, roller-milled, and double-distilled in copper pots. The Añejo is aged more than a year in Eastern European oak and finished in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon casks, bottled at 40% ABV in the twisted, swirling bottle; a dollar from every bottle funds entrepreneurship programs in Mexican and American communities. Uproxx, on the Cristalino, wished aloud for an añejo — this is it. Expect a nose of cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, and the Cabernet finish's red fruit, opening into a smooth, sweet, rounded palate of butterscotch, dried cherry, baking spice, and oak with a warm, moderate finish.
