Heirloom Creme De Flora Liqueur
Heirloom Creme de Flora started life in 2009 as "House Creme de Flora," a bar-only pour the Minneapolis team behind Heirloom Liqueurs (the same Bittercube-founded operation responsible for their Genepy) made for restaurants and bars around the country before bottling it for retail. The concept borrows from Millefiori, an old Italian liqueur style whose name literally means "a thousand flowers" — recipes vary wildly by region, and Heirloom's version draws on a bouquet of blooms native to five continents, with chamomile, marigold, and violet leading the way. The nose is soft and floral, opening with chamomile's honeyed edge before marigold lifts things with a brighter, more herbal note. On the palate, that same chamomile character comes through first, with layered floral notes running underneath, finishing smooth, clean, and bright. Wine critic Anthony Dias Blue described it as having a soft floral nose with rich, garden-like sweetness. It's built specifically for cocktails: try it in an Aviation, drop it into a Champagne cocktail, or use it in place of orange liqueur in a Sidecar for a completely different spin.
