Lunazul is a Beckmann tequila — Francisco Beckmann, former co-owner of Jose Cuervo, founded Tierra de Agaves in 2002 to make 100% agave tequila at a price everyone could afford, and Heaven Hill brings it north. The Beckmann family is the oldest tequila dynasty in Mexico, with 250 years in the business; the estate sits just outside the town of Tequila, the agave lineage dates to 1758, and eighth-generation Jorge Beckmann runs it today with master tequilero Francisco Quijano. The Blanco is 100% estate-grown blue Weber agave, seven to nine years old, hand-harvested, cooked, double-distilled in copper alembics, and bottled unaged at 40% ABV.
