Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Oak Single Malt Whisky
Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Oak Single Malt Whisky is the bourbon-cask expression from Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan, the King Car Group distillery that has won the world's top awards since opening in 2005. Matured entirely in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), it shows the distillery's fruit-forward house style at its purest.
The nose is sweet vanilla, toasted oak and a subtle citrus lift with Kavalan's signature tropical fruit. The palate is smooth and creamy with a rich, buttery texture, honey, caramel and vanilla, then cinnamon and clove spice from the bourbon wood that lingers on a long, warming finish. Taiwan's heat and humidity accelerate maturation, giving it the depth of a much older whisky. Sip it neat or with a drop of water.
This 750ml bottle is a clean, expressive Kavalan and a great introduction to Taiwanese whisky. Buy Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Oak Single Malt Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
