Catedral de Mi Padre — "my father's cathedral" — was founded in 2022 by a father-daughter duo, Jeff and Sydney Block, after eight years living in Oaxaca and falling for the way mezcal connects religion, culture, and family. The California-based brand partnered with six master mezcaleros, one per bottle, and the Espadín is its foundation: 100% espadín from the mountains around Santiago Matatlán, roasted in an earthen pit, crushed, naturally fermented, and double-distilled in small batches in copper pots, bottled at around 46% ABV; check your label.
