Nc'nean Quiet Rebels Amy is a limited release from Scotland's only fully organic whisky distillery, founded in 2017 by Annabel Thomas on the remote Morvern peninsula. The Quiet Rebels series lets individual members of the Nc'nean team create their own bottling, and Amy's edition features whisky matured in ex-Maury casks from a small organic, biodynamic vineyard in France whose 60-year-old vines produce a port-style fortified wine.
Those Maury casks were blended with Nc'nean's signature STR red wine and ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 97 proof, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle of 100% recycled glass. Expect rich red fruit, blackberry and plum from the Maury wood layered over the distillery's bright, creamy organic spirit, with honey, vanilla and a gentle spice on the palate and a long, fruit-driven finish. A one-time bottling that showcases Nc'nean's sustainable, experimental spirit, and a collector's piece.
