Astral Reposado Tequila

Astral Reposado rests five months in single-use bourbon barrels — three months longer than the industry standard, by the brand's own count — and Tequila Aficionado found it subtly sweet, rich, and balanced between agave, caramel, and oak. Astral was created by sommelier Richard Betts, the mind behind Sombra Mezcal, and came to Diageo in the 2020 Davos Brands deal alongside Aviation Gin; Diageo moved production to NOM 1607, Mieles Campos Azules in Amatitán — a distillery it shares with only one other brand, 818 — and launched the Reposado and Añejo in April 2023 as the line's first aged expressions.
