Gran Coramino Cristalino Reposado Tequila
Gran Coramino is Kevin Hart's tequila, made with Juan Domingo Beckmann — the eleventh-generation head of the Cuervo family — at Casa Cuervo, and the name means big heart. Hart spent three years on it before the 2022 launch; it's made at La Rojeña, NOM 1122, home of 1800, Gran Centenario, and Maestro Dobel, from 100% blue Weber agave from the Beckmann estates, roasted in traditional brick ovens, roller-milled, and double-distilled in copper pots. The Reposado Cristalino is rested more than six months in Eastern European oak, finished in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon casks, then slow-filtered twice to remove the color and not the taste, bottled at 40% ABV in the twisted, swirling bottle; a dollar from every bottle funds entrepreneurship programs in Mexican and American communities. The Liquor Store Podcast: roasted agave with grassy citrus on the nose, a solid mouthfeel with lots of body, pepper, citrus, and a touch of berry — more flavor and body than many pricier tequilas. Uproxx: well above Cuervo Especial and Tradicional, not at Reserva de la Familia level, fine if a little overpriced — and better than the Rock's. Honest note, and it's the whole celebrity-tequila conversation: enthusiasts on Agave Matchmaker and Tequila Report find it sweet and thin and read additives; it's the smooth, sweet cristalino for the Kevin Hart fan and the chilled-shot crowd.
