American Highway Reserve is the bourbon of country music superstar Brad Paisley, created with Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky. The idea was a "rolling rickhouse": barrels of bourbon rode along on Paisley's tour bus across America, aging on the road through changing climates before being blended with additional Kentucky stock at Bardstown.
It is a straight bourbon aged a minimum of four years in new American oak, bottled at 96 proof. The nose is warm and inviting with honey, toasted oak, and a hint of smoke, and the palate is rich with vanilla, toffee, and dried fruit leading into a long, satisfying finish.
