Released April 2023, it's a custom blend of 7-year straight rye and 17-year bourbon, designed to accentuate Barbados flavor, then aged 23 months in freshly emptied Foursquare rum barrels on the top floor of Rickhouse G, where heat drives evaporation and concentrates what's left. Drinkhacker rated it an A: a wonderfully complex bouquet as the silky influence of Bajan rum rushes from the glass, then rye spice, mint, milk chocolate, toasted almond, and waxy plum, with a lush dose of dark chocolate on the palate — a near-perfect marriage of rum and whiskey that ratchets up the success of the earlier Plantation finish. Bardstown's own notes: plantain, toasted almond, and clove melding with coconut, peanut, orange zest, and raisin.
