Celebration was released to mark the tenth anniversary of Beluga in 2012 — a decade after the first 38 bottles rolled off the line at the Mariinsk Distillery on December 13, 2002 — and it became a permanent member of the range. It's built on the same foundation as every Beluga: malt spirit and artesian water from 300 meters down through the quartz bedrock of the Mariinsk region, double-filtered through quartz sand and silver, run through a 10.5-meter birch-charcoal column, finished with fractional additions of honey, oat extract, and milk thistle, and rested — here for 45 days, longer than Noble's 30 — before bottling at 40% ABV in a bottle dressed for the occasion with a gold-and-white label. The idea, per the brand, is a vodka made for toasting: slightly softer and rounder than Noble, with the extra rest smoothing the peppery edge. Expect a clean nose of soft grain, honey, and a faint mineral note, opening into a silky palate of creamy cereal, a whisper of vanilla, and a gentle peppery lift, finishing long and smooth. Honest note: since 2022 the brand has been produced by Noblewood Group in Montenegro rather than Russia, and the tiers of Beluga differ more in rest time and packaging than in flavor.
