Cadenhead's, founded in 1842 and Scotland's oldest independent bottler, buys single casks from distilleries across the country and bottles them without the distillery's usual polish, which is exactly what makes them interesting.
Bottled at 92 proof, non-chill-filtered and without added color, this is Auchentoshan at a higher strength and in a more natural form than the distillery's own 80-proof releases. Expect the clean, light, nutty and citrusy character that triple distillation produces, with eleven years of oak adding vanilla and gentle spice. Bottled in a single limited outturn, it is a rare chance for Lowland fans to taste Auchentoshan unfiltered.
