This is a Corazón single-barrel añejo aged in a barrel that held Blanton's bourbon — picked by the San Diego Barrel Boys, our own local barrel-pick crew, for San Diego. Corazón de Agave is Sazerac's highland tequila from Casa San Matías, NOM 1103, the family-run Los Altos distillery led by master distiller Rocío Rodríguez; because Sazerac owns Buffalo Trace, Corazón's single-barrel program lets retailers and clubs select añejo aged in barrels that held Blanton's, Weller, Eagle Rare, 1792, Sazerac Rye, or Buffalo Trace — and Blanton's barrels, from Buffalo Trace's Mash Bill #2 warehouse H, are the ones everyone wants.
