This limited edition of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin honors the resident mouser of PJ Rigney's distillery in the village of Drumshanbo, County Leitrim — founded in 2014 as the first new distillery in Connacht in over a century — with a special ceramic bottle bearing the cat's likeness. The gin inside is unchanged: Ireland's best-selling gin, named for the slowly dried Chinese gunpowder green tea that's one of its key botanicals. Juniper, angelica, orris, caraway, cardamom, coriander, star anise, and meadowsweet from the local meadows are steeped and distilled in medieval-style copper pot stills, while the gunpowder tea, Chinese lemon, oriental grapefruit, and kaffir lime are vapor-infused through baskets.
