Evan Williams is Heaven Hill's flagship line, named for the Welsh immigrant who opened Kentucky's first commercial distillery on the Louisville riverfront in 1783; Heaven Hill is the largest family-owned distillery in Kentucky, run by the Shapira family since 1935, and Evan Williams is distilled at its Bernheim plant in Louisville and bottled in Bardstown.
