Jura 18 Year Old is the mature statement from the Isle of Jura, a wild Hebridean island of around two hundred people, one road, one pub and one distillery, founded in 1810 and rebuilt in 1963 to keep the island community alive. After eighteen years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, it is finished in Bordeaux red wine barriques for a fruit-rich finale to Jura's gently smoky Island style.
Bottled at 88 proof, it pours rosewood gold and offers toffee, tropical fruit and cinnamon on the nose, then a rich palate of black forest fruit, cocoa and coffee with a subtle wisp of peat smoke, finishing long and elegant.
