Kretaraki Tsikoudia is a 750ml Cretan grape spirit from the Stamataki Brothers Distillery in Heraklion, the island's best-known producer of the local spirit known as tsikoudia or raki. It is distilled from a blend of Cretan grape varieties, 50% Soultanina, 25% Liatiko and 25% Grenache Rouge, in the pomace-brandy tradition of grappa.
Clean, fruity and warming, it is the everyday spirit of Cretan hospitality. Serve it chilled in small glasses with meze, sip it neat after a meal, or use it as the base for homemade rakomelo with honey and spices.
