Luxardo Sangue Morlacco Cherry Liqueur is a 750ml, 60-proof cherry liqueur from Luxardo, the family distillery founded in 1821 and based in Torreglia near Padua. Its name, meaning "Morlacco blood," was given by the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio in 1919 for its deep red color, and it is made from the juice of Luxardo's own Marasca sour cherries.
It has good body and is very rounded on the palate, quite different from ordinary cherry brandies thanks to the intensity of the cherry taste and a surprising expansion of the aftertaste that makes it priceless alongside pure chocolate.
