Nolet's The Reserve Dry Gin is one of the rarest and most expensive gins in the world, handcrafted in tiny quantities by the Nolet family of Schiedam, the Netherlands, distillers since 1691 and makers of Ketel One. Each botanical is separately distilled or macerated and then hand-blended by Carolus Nolet Sr. himself, with saffron and verbena as the signature ingredients that give the gin its golden color. Every bottle is individually numbered, one per case, with a numbered certificate, and it is bottled at 52.3% ABV (104.6 proof).
The Gin Is In rated it 4 out of 5 and called it rich, enveloping and complex, with rose petal, honeysuckle and pungent florals on the nose, raspberry and fruit giving way to bright saffron and angelica on the palate, and a finish of lemon, citrus and piney juniper. It is a gin for sipping neat with a drop of water, or in the most decadent Martini you will ever make. A true collector's bottle.
