Purity Old Tom Gin
Purity Old Tom Gin (Purity 34 Craft Nordic Old Tom) comes from Purity Distillery in southern Sweden, made from organic winter wheat and malted barley and bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof). It takes Purity's Craft Nordic dry gin recipe of juniper, basil, thyme and lavender with Nordic lingonberries and blueberries, and adds a touch of organic cane sugar in the Old Tom tradition. It is USDA Organic and was named a Top 100 Spirit in the World at the 2021 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
Purity describes a floral bouquet complementing balanced juniper, basil and thyme, finishing with the slight sweetness of Nordic lingon and blueberries. Old Tom is the gin style of the 19th-century classics, so this is the bottle for a Tom Collins, a Martinez or a Ramos Gin Fizz, and its gentle sweetness makes an unusually smooth G&T.
