Ramazzotti Amaro
Amaro Ramazzotti is a 750ml, 60-proof Italian amaro created in Milan in 1815 by Ausano Ramazzotti, making it one of the oldest amari still produced. It is made from an infusion of 33 herbs, roots and botanicals including Sicilian oranges, star anise, cinchona bark, gentian and rhubarb, and the recipe has never changed.
This is a sweet, gentle amaro with notes of ripe plums, dark berries and cola and a spiced finish with just the faintest bitter edge, making it a great entry point to the category. Sip it neat or on the rocks after dinner, top it with soda and an orange slice, or use it in a spritz or Black Manhattan.
