Añejo is the Dominican Republic's house pour — the entry to the range from the country's most exported rum. Ron Barceló was founded in 1930 by Julián Barceló in Santo Domingo, and it's now sold in more than 80 countries, the leading rum in Spain and Chile, and one of only 3% of rum producers worldwide that grows its own cane. Añejo is a blend of young Dominican molasses rums, column-distilled and aged in ex-bourbon oak in the tropical heat, bottled at 37.5% ABV; check your label.
