Ventura Spirits Wilder Gin is made in Ventura, California, from wild-harvested native botanicals of the Central Coast: sagebrush, purple sage, California bay, yerba santa and the peel of Ojai pixie tangerines, alongside juniper. The distillery's motto says it all: "this is not the Queen's gin, this is wilder." It is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
Ventura Spirits describes fresh, savory aromas like a walk through the mountains of the Central Coast, and on the nose you get sage, bay, cactus, juniper and evergreen, then a soft palate of sage, mandarin peel and citrus with a lovely mouthfeel.
