Bisquit & Dubouché XO Cognac is the top of the core range from a house founded in Jarnac in 1819 by Alexandre Bisquit and now part of the Campari group. Bisquit is known for a long, slow distillation that preserves richness, and this XO blends eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of ten years, well beyond the legal requirement, bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose is vanilla, caramel and dried fruit with oak and gentle spice. The palate is smooth and velvety, with dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a touch of cinnamon, and the finish is long and warm with a lingering sweetness. It is a cognac for slow sipping neat in a tulip glass, and a good match for a cigar.
