Clear Creek Framboise is a raspberry liqueur from Clear Creek Distillery in Portland, Oregon, the fruit-brandy pioneer founded by Steve McCarthy in 1985 and famous for its pear brandy and McCarthy's single malt. Made from ripe Oregon raspberries, the fruit is steeped to draw out its color and flavor and blended with the distillery's own raspberry eau-de-vie and a measure of sugar, capturing the berry at its peak. Sold in a 375ml bottle.
The liqueur pours a deep ruby red with the aroma of a raspberry patch in summer. The taste is intense, vibrant raspberry with hints of berry jam and floral notes, a clean sweetness and a long, refreshing finish. Serve it chilled after dinner, top it with sparkling wine for a Kir Royale, add it to a lemon drop or a gin sour, or pour it over ice cream and chocolate cake.
