Master blender Shigetomo Terukina vats malt whiskies and matures them in select Oloroso sherry barrels from Spain, personally sourced by company president Ryo Matsuda, then bottles the result in a 700ml bottle.
The sherry wood shows in dried fruit, raisin and toasted nut on the nose, a smooth, malty palate with toffee, dark chocolate and gentle spice, and a warm, lingering finish. Okinawa's subtropical climate speeds maturation, giving the whisky a richness beyond its years. Sip it neat or with a drop of water.
