The blend of casks includes malts aged in Bordeaux red wine barrels, sherry casks and rare Japanese mizunara oak, married by the chief blender and bottled at 43% ABV.
The nose is ripe red berries and strawberry with fragrant florals and a subtle touch of mizunara sandalwood. The palate offers honey sweetness, cinnamon and a gentle, uniquely Japanese-oak spiciness, and the finish is velvety and lingering. It sips beautifully neat and makes a superb highball.
